TestWiki:Abuse filter operators
Abuse Filter operators are users who can manage, edit, and configure abuse filters to detect and prevent harmful edits.
Criteria for granting[edit]
For security reasons, these permissions are granted only by Consuls. The request should be submitted on TestWiki:Request permissions (it is best to also ping the recently active consul). The candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Have bureaucrat permissions;
- Established;
- Highly trusted;
- Very active (as measured within the past thirty (30) calendar days); and
- Demonstrate knowledge of the abuse filter rule language and vandalism prevention.
Additionally, the requesting bureaucrat must have a clearly articulated need for requesting the right.
Criteria for revocation[edit]
The right may be removed by either a Consul or the Consul-operated Rightsbot in any of the following cases:
- The user loses their bureaucrat rights for any reason, including for inactivity;
- The user has misused the right or is otherwise no longer sufficiently trusted;
- The user is largely inactive but otherwise meets the looser inactivity policy; or
- The user does not perform any AbuseFilter-related activities for at least 60 days.
