Request Permissions

What is this page used for? If you want to request testing permissions, you've come to the right place!

Tips for a successful request: Be sure to replace Requested right with the right you are requesting. You'll see what we're talking about once you hit "Request permissions" below.

Important Notes Please be sure to review TestWiki:Policies before making any request. Administrator may be granted to any logged in user, and revoked for inappropriate use. Bureaucrat will only be granted to a user who has been an administrator for 24 hours, who has at least 10 edits and who is trustworthy. Rights like Checkuser and Oversight will not be given due to the access to private information. For rollback, confirmed user and autopatrolled rights, you can assign it to yourself if you're an administrator.

I will not review this request but I would be declining this because you are still blocked on Miraheze and from TestWiki:Bureaucrats, "to obtain bureaucrat you must be trusted by the community". However, I will let another consul or bureaucrat look into this request. For now, please wait for your block to end on meta and then I will think about whether your behaviour on publictestwiki and meta has improved before giving back bureaucrat rights. User:Marseillaise - here is the deal. You can your admin rights back by November if:

1. You behave properly on Meta after you are unblocked. Do not test on Meta
2. You demonstrate that you can use the undo button correctly
3. You always revert your tests - it is possible to test the 'undo' button and edit almost all test pages and revert your edits without the admin right
4. You show that you are willing to learn from your previous mistakes (saying "I'm sorry, I promise not to do it again" is not enough)

I will not give bureaucrat rights back for at least six months to one year so please don't ask for them back until at least mid-March 2019. If you are also inactive for this period of time, I will not give back your admin rights either. I need to see that you are able to test properly without admin rights. In your userspace, you can also do unlimited testing as long as you follow the basic policies. If you do not follow what I have said in this post, you will not receive your admin rights by November. Marseillaise - Artix Kreiger has granted you rollback for one week. I would like to see how you will do with rollback before giving admin tools. If you are well-behaved with rollback for this week, I will extend your period with rollback until November and then I will give your admin tools back. However, any instance I see you rollback any edit other than your edits and vandalism or spam edits, I will immediately revoke the rollback tool. Thank you. Based on your recent improvement with your behaviour, I have given rollback and autopatrolled for another month. Same conditions apply and it will be revoked if misused. However, based on your edits for the last week, you haven't misused rollback so I have given it for another month. However, I suggest that you revert your tests when you can. If it is deleting a test page after test done, I can do it for you. I am on this site almost everyday so if I see that you need a test page deleted, I can do it for you. Now that I've read my previous requests here, I do see that I'm not supposed to ask for bureaucrat until next year. But I think I can ask for administrator, since I read that I can get that role back in November. Is that still true? Marseillaise (talk) 23:40, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

@Marseillaise: You have not been active for over a month. You have stopped editing on 21 October and started again on 26 November and that doesn't demonstrate to me that you deserve the sysop tools back. You need to be active for one month with no bad behaviour in order for me to give the tools back. Otherwise, I am not giving the tools back. Inactivity doesn't demonstrate that you can be trusted with the tools. You don't have to edit every single day in the next month but I need to see regular testing on this site. You can get your sysop tools back at the beginning of the new year if you: demonstrate that you can be trusted with rollback for one month (I will give you temporary rollback for one month) and you regularly test on this site. I will not give bureaucrat tools back until you get unblocked on Meta, you get your sysop tools back on this wiki and use them carefully and responsibly and you wait three months from the time you get your sysop tools back. If you have been actively testing responsibly on this site in the past one month, I would have gave your sysop tools back today but you didn't edit actively so I can't give them back. Thank you for explaining, Pkbwcgs, and I do understand how my inactivity was a factor. I appreciate your giving me the rollback role and I will use it responsibly during this month. The admins on Meta said that if I can prove that I can make constructive edits here, they might unblock me on that wiki in the future (my block there is currently indefinite). @Psl631: Given that I have previously said that User:Marseillaise can have the admin tools in the new year (2019) if he behaved, I think what User:Artix Kreiger did which is to give one month admin tools is sensible. However, if User:Marseillaise misbehaves with them, any bureaucrat can revoke the admin tools but I hope this user has learnt their lesson and won't misbehave with the admin tools like they did previously. Please be advised that if you do decide to cause any further disruption, you will immediately be desysopped and blocked. I was referring to your previous disruptive behaviour on this wiki which you referred to as being "several weeks" ago. Just because "several weeks" have passed doesn't mean that it can't be taken into account. I hope that you can understand why I initially rejected your request.
