Sabelöga (Translation administrator (if this is separated from regular Administrator that is))

  • Status:  Done by HeartsDo
  • User: Sabelöga ( talk · contribs · deleted · logs · rights )
  • Requested group/permission: Translation administrator (if this is seperated from regular Administrator that is)
  • Reason for requesting: I wish to test a template that I would then (if it works) implement onto the Meta-Wiki.

Sabelöga (talk) 10:34, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

As translation administrators tools is included on sysop group, I will give you administrator here for now.
Done. Please ensure you follow our policies, especially TestWiki:Testing policy and TestWiki:Main policy, reverting every test administrative action in the reverse order performed. As a best practice, test blocks should be done on User:Example or yourself. (PS to @Dmehus: Maybe you can create a translation administrators group here, or is not worth it as administrator is easily obtainable ?) --HeartsDo (talk) 11:11, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
@HeartsDo: Yeah, I remember that @Lois: was interested in doing translations and translation administration here, so I just granted her administrator as everything is included within that toolkit. We could have a translation administrators group, but my only real concern with that is we'd end up with a lot of unnecessary hat collecting. So, I think it's best just to have an administrator group for the time being. What do you think? Dmehus (talk) 14:48, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
Also, I saw that the not all the policies are marked for translation, so I will take care of that, if there's no objection. No wait, I can't edit them. --Sabelöga (talk) 15:09, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Me too, I am okay to say as administrator group is easily obtainable for omit to create a translation administrator group, I wanted just to be sure to see what is you think about this, so, thanks for have giving your point of view :).
@Sabelöga: Yeah, most policy pages is protected to bureaucrat level, if you want, I can give you bureacrat group for edit it because I don't see why we should not translate there pages (but if a consul have something to say 👀). HeartsDo (talk) 15:43, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
@HeartsDo: I'm fine with granting @Sabelöga: bureaucrat sooner than 24 hours, if he requests it in a separate request. As far as preparing those pages for translation, that was on my list of things to do, so I am fine with preparing those pages, and Sabelöga or you are as good as anyone to do it as you both add the Special:MyLanguage and tvar tags. Maybe wait a few minutes been preparing the pages, though, as the jobrunner seems to be a bit backlogged in jobs, though. Dmehus (talk) 15:51, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus:, @HeartsDo: Alright, request has been sent. --Sabelöga (talk) 16:55, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Sabelöga (Bureaucrat)

Sabelöga (talk) 16:52, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

As Dmehus is okay for grant it before the 24 hour period, I will do it!
Done. Please continue to make sure you are following all policies and know that bureaucrat is, ultimately, a more senior, trusted testing permission. Ultimately, Consuls are the de facto non-test administrators on TestWiki and they, together with the community at TestWiki:Community portal, guide this wiki. If granting permissions, please try and link to the diff page of the given user's request when granting rights, and only grant rights upon request. --HeartsDo (talk) 16:56, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
@HeartsDo: Thanks! I'll do my best and make sure to read through the policies (and translate them ;) before I do anything else. --Sabelöga (talk) 17:00, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Eltomas2003 (Checkuser)

Eltomas2003 (talk) 18:48, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Not done Checkuser is not gived to user due to access to private information (+ we can not give this), read the header next time! HeartsDo (talk) 18:53, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
@Eltomas2003: To add to what @HeartsDo: said, if you want to play with the CheckUser extension, you can see The Test Wiki, which offers the ability to use the tool on only yourself. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 19:16, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Waki285 (translation administrators)

  • Status:  Done by Dmehus
  • User: Waki285 ( talk · contribs · deleted · logs · rights )
  • Requested group/permission: translation administrators
  • Reason for requesting: I want to test the functionality of the translation administrator.

Waki285 (talk) 01:18, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

@Waki285: I've  done this as administrator, as we don't have a translation administrator group here. Dmehus (talk) 01:23, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
Done. Please ensure you follow our policies, especially TestWiki:Testing policy and TestWiki:Main policy, reverting every test administrative action in the reverse order performed. SoyokoAnis ()

SoyokoAnis (talk) 02:02, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

More information needed. What right would you like to request? Justarandomliberal (talk) 02:25, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Marking as declined, as no information has been provided within more than 24 hours. Justarandomliberal (talk) 02:41, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
This is a reasonable outcome, but we do have the stale outcome, so I'm going to mark this as such. If SoyokoAnis wishes to specify the permission requested before this is archived, all they need to do is reply and indicate that. Otherwise, they can open a new request. Yahya (Bureaucrat)

Yahya (talk) 13:03, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

@Yahya: Your test log actions generally seem fine, as you revert most of your tests, except for one revision deletion that another bureaucrat had to revert for you. However, I am placing this on hold for now principally because you've not stated a reason for requesting the bureaucrat bit—that is to say, what, specifically, you are looking to test. Additionally, I haven't seen many editing contributions to assess the latter part of the group's eligibility requirements, for which I'd note that twenty four hours is only the minimum timeframe. Instead, I will reassess this request in a few days. To expedite the process, if you can provide an account confirmation on a Wikimedia or other prominent non-Miraheze wiki from that wiki confirming your Miraheze account here, I would be inclined to grant sooner. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 14:53, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Thanks for reply. I've 17k+ edits in different Wikimedia projects. My meta wiki user page here. Best.Yahya (talk) 15:32, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
@Yahya: Oh, that's great. Would you mind either linking to a specific revision on any Wikimedia wiki where you confirm your Miraheze account here? Once that's done, I'll grant rights. Dmehus (talk) 15:38, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi @Dmehus:, I did it here. :) Yahya (talk) 18:09, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
@Yahya:  Thanks, per confirmation. This is now  done.
