This template is designed to help prevent spam from being sent to an e-mail address inserted onto a Wikipedia page. Because nearly all spam is automated,<ref>http://www.google.com/search?q=%22all+spam+is+automated%22</ref> altering the format of the e-mail address to where it does not match the [[regular expression]](s) in the e-mail address search engine helps prevent spam. The @ became the image, and it will be exclude copied the @ from the automatic bots.
