{{hidden ping|John}}Despite your extremely dubious comment that you were "granted permission by JohnLewis to attempt a privilege-escalation on this wiki", I see no evidence of this and it appears to be a hoax. As such, I have blocked you for attempted script injection. If this is not the case, John is welcome to perform the unblock. *{{re|Naleksuh}} Aww, you got it :). For what it's worth, I actually did get IRC permission from JohnLewis to attempt this; you can see the JS was set to lock this account automatically. John: The problem here is that instead of just one page to protect (Mediawiki:common.js), if you want to do it this way you'll need to protect every .js file for every account with advanced privileges (e.g. User:JohnLewis/vector.js) -- an impossible task. Instead, remove the ability of administrators to edit js (both sitewide and userspace), or at least remove the ability to modify rights on this wiki. **{{re|Dmehus|Naleksuh}} For what it's worth bureaucrats should not be given this permission either. I don't know how widespread these policies are on Miraheze wikis, but editing sitewide/other user JS on ''any'' wiki should be restricted to users whom you really wouldn't mind becoming stewards. The risk level associated with these permissions is quite high. Best, [[User:CobraMice|CobraMice]] ([[User talk:CobraMice|talk]]) 03:02, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
