Despite your extremely dubious comment that you were "granted permission by JohnLewis to attempt a privilege-escalation on this wiki", I see no evidence of this and it appears to be a hoax. As such, I have blocked you for attempted script injection. If this is not the case, John is welcome to perform the unblock. Naleksuh (talk) 02:46, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  • @Naleksuh: Aww, you got it :). For what it's worth, I actually did get IRC permission from JohnLewis to attempt this; you can see the JS was set to lock this account automatically. John: The problem here is that instead of just one page to protect (Mediawiki:common.js), if you want to do it this way you'll need to protect every .js file for every account with advanced privileges (e.g. User:JohnLewis/vector.js) -- an impossible task. Instead, remove the ability of administrators to edit js (both sitewide and userspace), or at least remove the ability to manipulate rights on this wiki.
