Line 501:
As you can see, I've requested consul here on TestWiki. Why?, you may be asking. Simple - we don't really have many active consuls. AlPaD is a great caretaker of this wiki, keeping it up and running, but the other five consuls are rarely active. Agent, Void, Zppix, NDKilla, and Reception123 have each made less than 3 edits/log actions to TestWiki this year, and while that's not their faults at all - 3 of the above are Stewards - they do naturally have less time to deal with TestWiki, which is where I come in. I promise quality judgement, consistency, and above all, activity. I've been a bureaucrat here for some time now, and I feel I have a good track record with the community as a Meta sysop, wiki creator, and global rollbacker.

If the TestWiki community feels that the above activity is not a concern, I am more than happy to retract my request here as my main reason for this request is activity. If we had an active team, I'd definitely not be requesting this right, but given the fact that AlPaD is essentially running the wiki on his own, I think it'd be appropriate to request and help out. At the point at which the community is sufficiently active and capable of keeping TestWiki up on its own, I am more than happy to remove this right.

That's not to say that activity is the only argument - as I said before, I'm a Miraheze wiki creator, global rollbacker, and Meta sysop. I have expertise here on Miraheze and have been a member of the TestWiki community for a long time. If elected consul, I'd also start developing plans for a partial overhaul of the wiki (with community input of course), to see how we can better shape the wiki for the community overall, as the current format is quite little known and rarely used by more than a select few.

Happy to answer any questions or concerns, of course. BrandonWM (talk - contribs) 21:02, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
