The [[TestWiki:Confirmed|Confirmed]] user group provides most of the same user group rights as the [[TestWiki:Autoconfirmed users|autoconfirmed users]] group, with the '''exception''' of the following user group rights that are generally not required for this manual group:
* <code>(comment)</code>
* <code>(comment-delete-own)</code>
* <code>createaccount</code>
* <code>autopatrol</code>
* <code>mwoauthproposeconsumer</code>
* <code>mwoauthupdateownconsumer</code>

Any [[TestWiki:Administrators|administrator]] may grant a requesting user, including themselves, this user permission; however, because most users are automatically promoted to [[TestWiki:Autoconfirmed users|autoconfirmed]] upon their account becoming more than four days old and them having made at least ten ''edits'', it is rarely ''needed''. The most common ''need'' for [[TestWiki:Confirmed|confirmed]] permission is for a user's legitimate alternate account or approved bot account that will make few, if any, ''edits''.

The [[TestWiki:Confirmed|Confirmed]] user group has the following rights:
* Edit pages protected as "Allow only autoconfirmed users" <code>(editsemiprotected)</code>
* Not be affected by IP-based rate limits <code>(autoconfirmed)</code>
* Perform CAPTCHA-triggering actions without having to go through the CAPTCHA <code>(skipcaptcha)</code>
