Conditions:
user_editcount < 3 & page_namespace == 0 & "<br><br>" in lcase(added_lines)
user_editcount < 3 & page_namespace == 0 & "<br><br>" in lcase(added_lines)
Notes:
New filter created to stop spambots (and even anonymous users) from spamming pages in the mainspace, after the spambot accounts attempt to create their user page but were disallowed by a global filter. – Caimántriste (3/8/24) Replaced some of the conditions with something simpler (the last two lines were retained), and renamed the filter to be more specific. – Caimántriste (3/12/24) Made public. Spammers aren't going to look at this filter to fix their bots when their spam has the most obvious pattern ever + the spam might not even be targeted at MediaWiki given that it often doesn't have a CTA and has things that don't make sense with wikitext. It could help other wikis to be able to reference this filter. - Collei (3/15/24) Changed to edit count under 3, can't find any spammers that had any previous edits that tried to post this kind of spam, so this should lower potential false positives - Collei (3/17/24) Removed the condition that only targets registered users, and switched from disallow to warn the user if they trip this filter, and tag when the edit is submitted. – Caimántriste (3/23/24)
