The wiki is currently in an archived state. No more edits, nor comments shall be accepted at this time. Contrary to the grey notice at the top of the wiki, the wiki is exempt from the Dormancy Policy at the moment, and will not be removed any time soon. At this point, it's either up to Miraheze (our provider) to stay open, or for you to request the proper rights to continue this wiki.

On August 08, 2014, independent developer INSIDE SYSTEM released ''Majin Shoujo'' (魔神少女) on the Nintendo 3DS, which would later be localized under the title ''The Legend of Dark Witch''. This action-platformer mixes the jump-n-shoot action of ''Mega Man'', on-the-fly upgrades akin to ''Gradius'', and a colorful cast of characters inspired by the likes of ''Touhou'' into a unique blend of frenetic fun. The game very quickly gained a following of diehard fans, and their ranks increase with each new entry.
<br>On July 30th, 2017, Edward Mass (the wiki editor, not the guy from Gundam), founded The Legend of Dark Witch Wiki on [[Wikia:communitycentral:|Fandom]]. Later on in it's life, [[User:Blad|Blad]] [https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Message_Wall:ReverieCode?threadId=4400000000003379958 would later adopt the wiki on April 29th, 2022] and revive it. After an RfC on the [https://discord.com/invite/ZuekfJmsqQ Wiki Discord], we officially moved to Miraheze in July. [[User:Yuzrnaime|Yuzrnaime]] took over as head bureaucrat of the wiki on June 29th, 2023, before eventually retiring at the end of 2023. This wiki aims to be the #1 English-language source of information on this rapidly growing franchise. In addition, we also cover the [[Anime|anime series]], [[Manga|the manga]], [[NAN-A|the developer]], [[Beatus Creation]], and all of the [[merchandise]] in the series.
