First of all, as seen from m:Meta:Administrators' noticeboard#Setting up my own wiki, I did want to set up my own wiki in the first place but was unaware of the scope since I wanted to experiment on my own with the MediaWiki software. Therefore, I was referred to this wiki. I know there's a lot I can do as an admin, but I really want to have my own wiki to be able to install skins, extensions etc. Second of all, if I do have my own wiki, will I become the developer/founder of the wiki? Because I know on Fandom when I created my own wiki, I wasn't the founder of my own wiki and there were still some pages I couldn't edit or things I couldn't do etc. So if my own wiki gets created, will I become the founder of my wiki, or would I just be an admin and not be the founder? 54nd60x (talk) 09:20, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- 54nd60x: to my knowledge, if your wiki is created, you can do pretty much everything on your wiki including installing extentions and skins, etc. You'll be granted the bureaucrat and administrator flags these and you'll have the

54nd60x, A wiki uses server resources (such as disk space for the wiki database). So, I am discouraging you to create a new wiki just for testing a skin or extension. I have a private miraheze wiki of my own. You can test these things there. If you are interested then I can give you access of my wiki. — T@hmid (T@lk) 03:14, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
