Hi Waki285, |
|||
Thank you again for the translation and translation administration work you do here on TestWiki as well as on Meta Wiki. I noticed, though, that you have created Japanaese translations of the following interface messages: |
|||
# MediaWiki:Blockiptext/ja |
|||
# MediaWiki:Deletereason-dropdown/ja |
|||
# MediaWiki:Eauthentsent/ja |
|||
# MediaWiki:Editinginterface/ja |
|||
# MediaWiki:Nstab-mediawiki/ja |
|||
# MediaWiki:Newarticletext/ja |
|||
There are certainly some exceptions to this, of course, such as for translating the names of specific pages in the sidebar; however, generally speaking, all interface message translations should instead be done on translatewiki.net. The translations are then updated automatically, usually weekly, to various wiki farms including Wikimedia and Miraheze. MediaWiki:Blockiptext/ja, MediaWiki:Deletereason-dropdown/ja, and MediaWiki:Newarticletext/ja are likely too TestWiki specific to be translated on translatewiki.net, but the others, I think, could/should probably be translated there? Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know about about translatewiki.net in case you hadn't heard of it, as you may be interested in translating there. :) |

Cheers, |

Preparing pages for translation on TestWiki
Hi Waki285,
Thank you for your translation work, both on Meta Wiki and on TestWiki. I did note, though, you recently prepared URL shortener test for translation. In general, though, pages categorized under Category:Special test pages should not be marked for translation, with the obvious exception of Translation setup test, of course. In this case, I'll make a Consul exception at URL shortener test as there are some instructions on that page that could be useful to be translated. But, in general moving forward, perhaps request a Consul's approval before preparing pages in the Category:Special test pages category translation?
Thanks again,

Translating interface messages
Hi Waki285,
Thank you again for the translation and translation administration work you do here on TestWiki as well as on Meta Wiki. I noticed, though, that you have created Japanaese translations of the following interface messages:
- MediaWiki:Blockiptext/ja
- MediaWiki:Deletereason-dropdown/ja
- MediaWiki:Eauthentsent/ja
- MediaWiki:Editinginterface/ja
- MediaWiki:Nstab-mediawiki/ja
- MediaWiki:Newarticletext/ja
Cheers,
