Marseillaise (Status: Not Done)

  • User: Marseillaise ( talk · contribs · deleted · logs · rights )
  • Requested group/permission: Administrator and bureaucrat
  • Reason for requesting: I am ready to be active here again, and this time I will use all tools responsibly. I will not undo consuls' edits, add any bad words, or forget to undo my tests. Thank you.

Marseillaise (talk) 23:30, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Not done, you were told not to get any sort of administrator nor bureaucrat powers unless it is the new year. Its still the "old" year. Artix Kreiger (talk) 23:32, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
Now that I've read my previous requests here, I do see that I'm not supposed to ask for bureaucrat until next year. But I think I can ask for administrator, since I read that I can get that role back in November. Is that still true? Marseillaise (talk) 23:40, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
@Marseillaise: You have not been active for over a month. You have stopped editing on 21 October and started again on 26 November and that doesn't demonstrate to me that you deserve the sysop tools back. You need to be active for one month with no bad behaviour in order for me to give the tools back. Otherwise, I am not giving the tools back. Inactivity doesn't demonstrate that you can be trusted with the tools. You don't have to edit every single day in the next month but I need to see regular testing on this site. You can get your sysop tools back at the beginning of the new year if you: demonstrate that you can be trusted with rollback for one month (I will give you temporary rollback for one month) and you regularly test on this site. I will not give bureaucrat tools back until you get unblocked on Meta, you get your sysop tools back on this wiki and use them carefully and responsibly and you wait three months from the time you get your sysop tools back. If you have been actively testing responsibly on this site in the past one month, I would have gave your sysop tools back today but you didn't edit actively so I can't give them back. For now, I will enable rollback on your account. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:24, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for explaining, Pkbwcgs, and I do understand how my inactivity was a factor. I appreciate your giving me the rollback role and I will use it responsibly during this month. The admins on Meta said that if I can prove that I can make constructive edits here, they might unblock me on that wiki in the future (my block there is currently indefinite). So I will try to make that happen in time so I can hopefully be a bureaucrat here again next year. Marseillaise (talk) 01:04, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Nothing that the user was unblocked for one last chance on Meta. Reception123 (talk) 06:42, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Marseillaise (Status: Done (1 month only))

Marseillaise (talk) 01:18, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

@Pkbwcgs: Excuse me, should I grant admin tools to that user? I reviewed that user's talk page and that user should be granted with admin tools if that user did not vandalize/disrupt the wiki. Psl631 (Let's Chat!) 06:57, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
I think I can AGF and give admin powers, albeit for 1 month. That sounds fair? Artix Kreiger (talk) 12:10, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess it does. Hopefully this "trial" will go well. Marseillaise (talk) 13:03, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Done. This will be one month promotion to admin. Good luck.Artix Kreiger (talk) 15:41, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
@Psl631: Given that I have previously said that User:Marseillaise can have the admin tools in the new year (2019) if he behaved, I think what User:Artix Kreiger did which is to give one month admin tools is sensible. However, if User:Marseillaise misbehaves with them, any bureaucrat can revoke the admin tools but I hope this user has learnt their lesson and won't misbehave with the admin tools like they did previously. Marseillaise (Status: Done)

Marseillaise (talk) 08:35, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Due to your recent previous behaviour I do not believe that giving you the sysop flag would be appropriate. Please wait 6 months since the date you were desysopped before applying for sysop. Kiko4564 (talk) 00:05, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
What recent behavior are you referring to exactly? It has been several weeks since I caused disruption either here or on Meta. And I haven't misused my rollback ability either. Could you please elaborate on this? Marseillaise (talk) 01:42, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Done I have assumed good faith and granted 3 months access. Please make an edit on your Wikia/Fandom account to prove your are able to edit there. Artix Kreiger (talk) 05:04, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, Artix. I will do my best not to mess up this time with the admin rights. When my Fandom global block expires in three hours, I will post a link of my edit on your talk page. And Kiko, I will do my best to show you that I will not be disruptive here any more. Marseillaise (talk) 13:41, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. It is good to see you showing some commitment to behaving yourself this time. Please be advised that if you do decide to cause any further disruption, you will immediately be desysopped and blocked. I was referring to your previous disruptive behaviour on this wiki which you referred to as being "several weeks" ago. Just because "several weeks" have passed doesn't mean that it can't be taken into account. I hope that you can understand why I initially rejected your request. However I have no issue with A Kreiger's decision to grant you sysop. Kiko4564 (talk) 20:18, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
I'm not that wild about revoking admin rights based solely upon behavior on other sites. At some point however, this needs to stop. -- Void Whispers 22:21, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
