However, following discussions with Reception123 and RhinosF1, it was agreed that a longer period before requesting rights again, together with your completion of a Consul-prepared quiz, was the right approach. As to logging actions in one's user rights log, it's essentially like a [[w:WP:DUMMY|dummy edit]] whereby one adds a mostly useless user group for a short period (i.e., 1 second), and then annotates their reason with that very short user group grant.
