User rights[edit]

Hi Zppix. I am just wondering why you took away my bureaucrat role here. I know I haven't always reverted all my tests but I feel that I have been responsible with the bureaucrat permission. Bugambilia (talk) 20:39, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Bugambilia: Frankly, you shouldnt of been given it to begin with. I have had multiple users with concerns of your use of majority of your rights. Furthermore, as a consul I do not believe you have shown enough responsibility to have said user rights. If you wish to appeal you may do so by letting me or another consul know and we as consuls will discuss. I also want you to know I’m not doing this based upon my own feelings, but my opinion as a Consul, a trusted volunteer of the global community, and as a CVT member. I do wish the best for you on the wiki farm, and do welcome you to seek guidance from me or another trusted volunteer if you wish. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 20:43, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I see. Thanks for the explanation. I'll wait a few days and test responsibly as an admin before trying to get bureaucrat back. Bugambilia (talk) 01:40, 21 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I am not trying to be a jerk here, but you have had your rights removed multiple times and you will probably need to wait more than a few days before getting your 'crat rights back. My advice is revert your tests, listen to people when they ask you to do or don't do something, and use your rights responsibly. If you do that for maybe a month or so, then I am sure that the community will trust you again. If you have any questions about how we do things around here please don't be afraid to ask. Patrol[edit]

Hello, Zppix. Please, mark edits as patrolled once handled. (like Special:Diff/32269) See User talk:Gomdoli#Patrol. Thanks. Gomdoli (talk) 07:30, 5 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi, while I see your point, I would also like to note that I’m not required to do so. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 07:47, 5 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Marking revisions as patrolled is a good practice and, personally, it's something I try and do before handling requests. However, as @Zppix: noted, it isn't specifically required of Consuls or Bureaucrats. Hope that clarifies. Dmehus (talk) 15:35, 5 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

RfP[edit]

Hi Zppix, when approving requests for RfP, please do your best to use {{AdminAcceptRfP}} and {{BureaucratAcceptRfP}}. These templates are on the wiki for a reason, so could you please do your best to use them when approving requests? Thanks! User:BrandonWM/signature 21:20, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

@BlackWidowMovie0: I realize your note to @Zppix: regarding {{AdminAcceptRfP}} and {{BureaucratAcceptRfP}} was made in good-faith, but I would just note that they are completely optional and not required to be used when granting rights. I personally find them useful, mainly since they use the typical wording of my replies, but I do suspect most bureaucrats and consuls probably will not use them. Hope that helps. Bureaucrat[edit]

I actually extended it because you tell me that in 72 hour if I don't do anything wrong you will extend it but none was extending it so I did it. Nexovia (talk) 07:58, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I specifically told you I would do it once 72 hours were up. Considering you misused your permissions to extend a temporary userright I had given you on a trial basis without any discussion or otherwise. Due to this, I do not believe you meet the requirements of being a bureaucrat because of trust issues within the TestWiki community, and the inability to comply with a restriction placed on you by a consul (myself). Zppix (Meta | talk to me) 16:12, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No one extended my rights so I extended my it was going to expiring so I extended that was my intention my intention was not to misuse and please I don't dam care what other think so I did it because I think i am doing wright but sorry I am wrong and I don't care what did you think why did it so and you are not extending my Bureaucrat rights as you tell me that you will did seeing in one way you tell me you will extend but did not extend in time you should see you mistake also not others only and this can be done from you also so it is not necessary to give long speech I also know what I have done so you don't need to tell me long way you can also do mistake Thank you.Nexovia (talk) 02:36, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
“I don’t care what other think” that there proves to me I made a valid decision in revoking bureaucrat. It is revoked, and it will remain revoked until you can prove you can be trusted by the TestWiki community. Furthermore, you obviously are only wanting the right just to have it, so I am placing an additional restriction that you must prove a legitimate and reasonable need for the right when you do request it.
To reiterate:
You may not request or regain bureaucrat until:
  • You regain the trust of the TestWiki community by making constructive edits over the next 2 months.
  • You must have a legitimate and reasonable need for the right when requesting
Failure to do any of these would result in a denied request and/or additional removal of said rights. Zppix (Meta | talk to me) 06:54, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don’t speak this language, please only talk to me in English, thank you. Zppix (Meta | talk to me) 08:48, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Can you change my usepage protection I can't edit it. Nexovia (talk) 09:08, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As an uninvolved bureaucrat, I have to agree with @Zppix‘s removal of the bit. I’m not sure a 2 month bureaucrat restriction was needed. Maybe more like 2-4 weeks? Globe (talk) 12:21, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes what big mistake I have done that he gave me 2 months Bureaucrat restriction. Nexovia (talk) 12:41, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I’m willing to lower it down to 30 days. Zppix (Meta | talk to me) 14:19, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Its also too much please lower it to about 10 days. Nexovia (talk) 02:53, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That’s up to @Zppix, and I suggest you explain why instead of demanding. Globe (talk) 03:00, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What about 30 days and a lowered user page protection? Dmehus (talk) 03:05, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Nevermind about the user page protection level. It's already lowered to sysop. Dmehus (talk) 03:06, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I lowered it to 30 days, it will not be lowered anymore. Regardless you would still need to meet both criteria. Zppix (Meta | talk to me) 04:34, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

My user rights[edit]

Hello there! Excuses if it was inappropriate of me to revoke a user's administrator rights. I did have a rationale for it, but I do realize that it was not a very good one (considering that most of the issues did not happen here, but at other wikis). It was my first mistake as a crat, and I've learned from the mistake, so considering this has been my first and only mistake as a bureaucrat and that I am overall an active crat here, could I perhaps get the rights granted back, on the condition that something like this does not happen again? EPIC (talk) 06:29, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@EPIC: Hello! Right, Wikipedia isn't a Miraheze wiki and the block on non-Miraheze wiki doesn't affect his/her reputation or activity here. @Zppix: Do you agree with restore his flags? AlPaD (talk) 18:42, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As an uninvolved crat, I agree to restoring the rights to EPIC, since they are a trusted steward on all Wikimedia projects. However, I'm awaiting Zppix's reply. Caimántriste talk 23:53, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
