GrahamSH (talk) 17:29, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Not done Sorry, but you must be an Administrator for at least 24 hours before being granted 'crat. -Examknow (talk) 17:30, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
To add to what @Examknow: said, we're somewhat flexible on the 24 hour rule (i.e., 20 hours might be okay), but there has to be enough test edits, and cleaning up of one's test edits, in order to satisfy the requirement that you are trustworthy. I noticed you've added :Category:GrahamSH to your user page, ostensibly testing the HotCat gadget, which is great, but we generally don't categorize users in that way. We do have :Category:Users, but that's, more or less, a holding category for the Babel users by language category. So, I would recommend, first, to practicing a test deletion by deleting :Category:GrahamSH and then removing, via HotCat, the user category you added to your local page (to remove it from Special:WantedCategories as a redlinked, wanted category). Following that, perform a few tests, undoing or reverting, as applicable, so that we can see you know what you're doing. If you're ever unsure, don't hesitate to ask one of us here on wiki or via #miraheze-testwiki on IRC. Also, you may find Category:Special test pages helpful for listing all of the pages on which you can perform certain administrator tool function tests, without having to both create and delete any new test pages you create. • Requested group/permission: Bureaucrat
  • Reason for requesting: I want to learn how to be a bureaucrat. I have a lot of experience with admin, but not crat.

GrahamSH (talk) 17:11, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

@GrahamSH: When you say that you have "a lot of experience with admin, but not crat," are you speaking to your experience on other wikis or just Public Test Wiki? If the latter, I'd prefer to see a few more test edits. Try checking out Category:Special test pages, perform a few other tests besides just a page deletion/undeletion and a category creation, and make sure you undo any tests performed (i.e., if you create a new test page, delete it). If the former, can you link to your Special:Contributions page or Special:Log page (either as an interwiki wikilink or external link) for us to review? So, I'm placing this request On hold, to either see a few more tests/cleanup or seeing your external wiki admin actions/logs, then either I or another bureaucrat will be able to grant you bureaucrat rights. Not done. Closing this as withdrawn/stale. Dmehus (talk) 02:38, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't know I was logged out when writing that!

Done. Please remember to ensure you've read our few ground rules. If testing blocking, it's highly recommended you pick on User:Example. If creating pages, remember to delete them. Undo any tests you perform. We also have Category:Special test pages you can use for testing. Ask us if you have any questions. Dmehus (talk) 00:32, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Rock (Administrator)

Rock (talk) 16:10, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

On hold...@Rock: Can you elaborate further on your reason(s) for wanting the administrator right—that is, what sort of functions are you chiefly looking to test, and do you have any experience as an editor on any Wikimedia- or Fandom-owned wiki projects? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 17:17, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
Yes I am use to fandom. Rock (talk) 03:58, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Done Okay, thanks for clarifying from where you came. I am going to grant you administrator permissions. Though we have few rules, we do have some guidelines. Please ensure you've read them. The two most important ones are that you (a) undo any tests you perform (i.e., if creating a new page, delete it afterward) and that (b) you are strongly encouraged, when testing blocking functionality, to test on User:Example. Though it is a globally locked test account, it still can be blocked, unblocked, and the like. Also, when testing, we have Category:Special test pages that includes a series of pages on which you are encouraged to perform any tests. Longer term, if you want to volunteer to help improve Public Test Wiki, please ask any consul or an experienced bureaucrat for ways in which you can volunteer. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask us on IRC or Discord. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 16:53, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Rock (talk) 12:19, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

Not done as it's only been one week since a consul revoked your user rights and informed you can reapply in 28 days. You need to wait about three more weeks. To make readdition of both your rights more likely, I strongly suggest creating a sandbox and performing a series of constructive test edits that administrators can patrol. We need to see some editing activity, as it would be helpful assessment purposes in cases like this. Dmehus (talk) 12:58, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

Rock (talk) 12:19, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

Deferred to consul. Please do not be rude. Because of that, I will let a consul decide. --TFFfan (talk) 19:20, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Also, can you please further elaborate why you want to be granted Admin rights? Have you had any experience editing before? --TFFfan (talk) 19:27, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
@TFFfan:, I Support this deferral. As an aside, it's nice to see my {{deferred}} template used for the first time. The reason does give me pause for sure. I'd prefer to see @BooBooBelt: provide a clearer reason for requesting and/or perform a few edits in their sandbox. Dmehus (talk) 22:22, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
You're either an LTA or childish or both. Either way, Not done and if I could prove which, you'd be blocked as such but if you are neither, please provide a proper reason. RhinosF1 (talk) 22:35, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Cocopuff2018 (Admin)

Done. We do have just a few policies, please make sure you're familiar with them. Basically, if you break something, revert whatever you did. Undo any tests you do when you're done testing and, regarding blocking, it's recommended you test block yourself or test on User:Example. Dmehus (talk) 01:59, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

Can you provide any test edits without flag, please?--MrJaroslavik (talk) 05:54, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
I think this would be reasonable, as the expected amount of edits is fairly low. Clearing sandbox should be simple, and any other possible ideas can be left on bots talkpage. Naleksuh (talk) 06:07, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Please prove it works and then request at TestWiki:Bot approval requests RhinosF1 (talk) 06:22, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Done. Please make sure that you've read TestWiki:Main policy and read through most, if not all, of TestWiki:Policies. The key points are to make sure you chiefly perform tests on Category:Special test pages-categorized pages, undo or otherwise revert any tests you perform, and, for test blocks, that you perform tests on User:Example, User:Example2, User:Example3, and/or yourself. It's considered a best practice to obtain written consent, ideally on-wiki, before testing on someone else. Dmehus (talk) 16:55, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
