Request permissions on TestWiki

Welcome to Miraheze's TestWiki! This page is for requesting testing permissions (Administrator/Bureaucrat) for TestWiki.

Tips for a successful request:

  • Be sure to replace Requested right with the actual user right you are requesting. You will see what we are referring to once you tap on the blue 'Request permissions' button at the bottom of this pink box.

Important notes

  • Make sure to read our policies before making any request, especially the main policy and the testing policy, and remember to revert and undo all your tests once you're done.
  • Administrator user right may be granted to any logged in user, but it may also be revoked for inappropriate use.
  • Bureaucrat user right will only be granted to a user who has been an administrator for 24 hours, who has at least 10 edits, and who has been deemed trustworthy.
  • Specific user rights like CheckUser and Oversight will never be given, due to the access to sensitive private information.
  • For confirmed user and autopatrolled rights, you can assign it to yourself if you are an administrator (though you can request those user groups here if you do not require and do not want the sysop tools).
  • For consul rights, that should be requested at the community portal, and gain a clear community consensus for that right to be granted. Consul is a very high-trust role and is rarely granted.

Non-consul comment Per TestWiki:IA, users should be very active (as measured within the past thirty (30) calendar days) in order to be granted with this right. However your only contributions recently is the request for permissions here. I would strongly advise you to be more active recently, and to apply for this bit after you meet the requirements. This comment doesn't represent the opinion of consuls, it is just a note. --Matttest (talk) 07:19, 25 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
C1K98V, do you know what you're looking to test specifically? Your edits and log actions seem fine. I would be potentially okay with granting you the permission temporarily (i.e., for a week or two, at most), with a clearly articulated valid need. Dmehus (talk) 06:04, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello Dmehus, Matttest Hope you're doing well. sorry for replying late. I agree with you on TestWiki:IA policy, I'm active here, But I try to do only constructive edits, so that's why my loggedin action are less. I intend to test the IA tools, but nothing specific. To begin with I will try and understand to contribute with mediawiki js pages and offer my service. Thanks -C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 13:23, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
C1K98V, thanks for your reply. Can you tell me a bit more about the type of MediaWiki JS pages you're looking to edit? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 06:40, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello I'm actually looking ahead to edit MediaWiki js page like User right gadget, Purge, Twinkle. Also, I would like to import js page from wikipedia which is not here yet. Thanks. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 06:53, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Done for a one month trial per your request. Dmehus (talk) 06:58, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Per my comments above...ordinarily, I'd not be fussed with this being a few days early, but given the minor recidivism, I'm inclined to give it a few extra days. I would, however, be inclined to grant you rollbacker, based on your productive counter-vandalism work on Test Wiki. However, we don't have a rollbacker group anymore. Dmehus (talk) 06:06, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Please do not restore these before May 1st. You should be blocked as it was changed to a for-cause block when you started being disruptive and evading your self-requested block. @Dmehus: Discuss any action you do with ApexAgunomu with me. RhinosF1 (talk) 06:13, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sorry, I didn't realize that the nature of the block had changed. ApexAgunomu (My changes here | Drop me a line) 06:17, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Done Please ensure you follow our policies, especially TestWiki:Testing policy and TestWiki:Main policy, reverting every test administrative action in the reverse order performed. As a best practice, test blocks should be done on User:Example or yourself. — Chrs (talk) 21:55, 12 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ahecht, thank you for this request. Would you mind confirming your English Wikipedia account by providing a confirmation edit somewhere on English Wikipedia or even any attached Wikimedia wiki for that account? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 06:43, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Ahecht just curious, why didn’t you go and use Wikimedia test Wikipedia Zippybonzo (talk) 13:59, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The pages I was looking to test are editinterface protected at the wikimedia test wikipedia. --Ahecht (TALK
